Chainsaw Fun

chainsaws.jpg
Last Thursday we began cutting down a few filbert trees for our futire driveway, deck, and backyard. We were able to cut down about 8 trees. The fun continued yesterday as we cut down about 8 more. John and Louise brought over the tractor to haul wood and push the debris into a lrage burn pile. The kids helped by riding on top of the wood in the bucket and occasionally throwing a stick onto the pile. Last night we celebrated our hard work with s'mores around a rather large campfire.

Thank you so much for all the help Mom, Dad, Craig and Ron. If your interested in more chanisaw work we will probably do it again soon... about 6 trees left.

Our helpers included Mike Hansen, Ron Kropf, Craig, John, and Louise. On Saturday Mac Smith (of Mac-n-Pam) will be bringing his chainsaw. Any other volunteers? We need wood handlers and kid entertainers also. No special skills required.

You may need a safety officer. Doug has experience with this.
I believe the reason he has not helped with the tree removal is because he likes BIGGER trees.
